Osun Tourism Board Chairman Praises Governor Adeleke’s Unmatched Historical Site Development Commitment

At the “Promoting Tradition and Historical Sites” event held in Okinni and organized by the Osun State Tourism Board, Hon. Taiwo Adeleke, the Chairman, delivered a resounding message of assurance to the community. He reiterated Governor Adeleke’s steadfast commitment to rejuvenating and celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the Yoruba people.

Hon. Taiwo Adeleke emphasized that the purpose behind such cultural initiatives was to breathe new life into Yoruba culture and tradition, aiming for a renaissance that would not only rebrand but also preserve and promote these invaluable aspects of the community’s identity.

Highlighting the significance of cultural pride, particularly among Yorubas both at home and abroad, the Chairman urged the residents of Okinni to actively participate in showcasing their customs and traditions to the broader world. Furthermore, Hon. Taiwo Adeleke underscored the proactive approach taken by Governor Adeleke’s administration in developing and preserving cultural sites scattered throughout Osun State. Rotimi Ogunrinade, a member of the Osun State House of Assembly, and Chief Kolade Adeleke, a former Chairman of the Osun Tourism Board and now a political leader in Egbedore local government, lauded Governor Adeleke’s tireless efforts in promoting culture and tradition. They expressed gratitude for the support shown by the people of Okinni towards the Adeleke-led administration.

In a royal message, the Olokinni of Okinni, Oba Ablulazeez Adegbemi, expressed appreciation for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s genuine interest and affection for the people of Okinni.

Moreover, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Ajayi, the General Manager of the Osun State Tourism Board, urged continuous pride in culture and tradition among the people of Okinni and Osun State as a whole. She solicited ongoing support and collaboration for the present administration’s endeavors in promoting cultural heritage.
